Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

We are currently looking for a Part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Certified for our York County Facility in Alfred, Maine to provide comprehensive diagnostic and restorative medical and psycho-therapeutic services and examinations within a specific scope of practice to inmates. Develop and implement individualized patient care and treatment plans. As the primary care provider for the delivery of essential health services to inmates, works closely with Health Services Administrator maintain delivery of essential healthcare services.
Salary: $60 Hour
Master's degree or its equivalent from a recognized college, institute or university with major study in nursing, and graduation from an advanced practice registered nurse program that meets qualifications established by the Board of Nursing Examiners for the specialty in which the Nurse Practitioner is to be employed.
Five years' professional nursing experience in the field appropriate to the position for which recruitment is conducted.
Prior correctional clinical experience, preferred.
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which they practice.
Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
Reliable insured personal transportation, a valid driver's license.
Knowledge of community resources/agencies
