Associate, Simulation Lead

for Junior Achievement in Cumming, GA USA

Responsible for leading daily operations and logistics for JA BizTown and JA Finance Park onsite student experience at the JA Discovery Center North Georgia in order to deepen the JA experience and strengthen the JA brand. JA Discovery Center - North Georgia is a 25,000 sq. ft. facility that serves 17,000 local middle school students annually with authentic, relevant and experiential financial capability programs that combine in-class curriculum with a capstone simulation. In addition, the JA Discovery Center North Georgia serves as a hub of frequent business and community events in connection with the 200+ corporate partners that support JA throughout the state.
Safety & Security
Ensuring safety & security of all constituents in the simulation.
Assist with the orderly unloading and loading of buses upon arrival and departure and escorting students into secure space. Confirm and verify student numbers throughout time on-site.
Program Quality
Design and execute a best-in-class learning experience during student JA BizTown and JA Finance Park visits, aligning simulations with curriculum learning objectives and creating authentic application opportunities.
Manage onsite engagement of up to 150 students per day by coordinating daily simulation schedule (approx. 4 hours) and other logistics to ensure completion of simulation and understanding of key financial principals/relationships.
Facilitate onsite volunteer training (60-90 minutes) and provide support throughout the simulation to 20-40 volunteers to help them coach students by applying their personal experiences within the context of the simulations.
Program Sustainability
Assist in the inventory tracking for all simulation resources (tablets, props, giveaways, program materials, etc.).
Provide technical support and troubleshoot common issues with simulation software and/or store front technology.
Collect required program forms and complete daily simulation reports in a timely manner.
Ensure that space is in a constant state of operational readiness through daily walk-throughs, observations, and inspections.
Simulation Prep and Reset ensure that program resources and all essential materials for students and volunteers are prepared and ready prior to arrival.

Preferred: Facilitation, coaching, teaching and/or training experience; exhibited program and project management skills; experienced with data collecting and analyzing trends to improve performance.
