Job Overview:
Xyntek is seeking entrepreneurial, dedicated, and motivated employees that are interested in joining a fast-paced <w:sdt docpart="BA3063682B294DE9B4A909D33C824AEA" id="900329767">Engineering & Technical Integration Services Team</w:sdt> involved in <w:sdt docpart="18F554C2725F41A7B2DF705446175AA8" id="414210191">research, design, development, integration, testing, and support of real-time automation, intelligent systems, smart devices, and industrial systems control</w:sdt>.  The ideal candidates will be involved in all <w:sdt docpart="1DD8D49C107B4A1AA77D0EF9A1D5B1BD" id="-1573649009">aspects ranging from defining requirements and design activities to hands on integration and testing activities</w:sdt>.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The ideal candidate will provide <w:sdt docpart="64C38EEEC5A24517AF06A08678B0E845" id="-1999794607">project support on the engineering design and implementation of Building Automation industrial control systems including, Building Automation Systems (BAS) controls platform, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) / Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems, Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) systems, and more.</w:sdt>

Tasks Include:

  • Project coordination, communications and oversight of day-to-day project activities;
  • Communication with project leads, vendors and clients to define building automation system scope and requirements;
  • Interaction with project teams on implementation of technical solutions;
  • Design engineering systems and mechatronic components for the automation of industrial tasks;
  • Design advanced electronic control systems for mechanical systems;
  • Support team in the development of system life cycle documentation (SDLC) including user requirements definition, automated system architecture functional and detailed design including both software/hardware requirements, validation, qualification and commissioning activities
  • Write and execute IQ and OQ protocols;
  • Develop electrical and mechanical design documents for building automation system;
  • Confirm and review  building automation design programs against requirements and design;
  • Implement or test design solutions;
  • Oversee the work of vendors/contractors in accordance with project requirements;
  • Support system startup, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities;
  • Maintain technical project files; 
  • Publish engineering reports documenting design details or qualification test results;
  • Provide consultation or training on topics such as mechatronics or automated control;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree in information technology or Engineering related fields is encouraged and preferred.  Completion of equivalent technical training courses and professional certification and/or previous work experience will also be considered;
  • Minimum 4 years? work experience in the Life Sciences (Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices) industries;
  • Minimum 4 years in control systems / validation lifecycle documentation;
  • Minimum of 4 years in Building Automation Systems;
  • Experience implementing projects in a regulated/validated environment is desired;
  • Experience with G-Con Manufacturing Prefabricated Pods is desired;
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, industrial control automation platforms from vendors such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, ABB, Honeywell, Emerson, Wonderware, GE, etc. is preferred;
  • Knowledge of MES systems (e.g. Emerson Syncade, Rockwell ProPack Data, Werum PAS-X, POMSnet) desired;
  • Experience with interfacing various control systems to middle layer data collection/historian applications and communication to other control systems such as SCADA, MES, Data Historians, ERP, SPC, etc. is preferred;
  • Experience programming and configuring PLCs such as Allen Bradley Micrologix, Controllogix, SLC & Siemens S7 platforms as well as knowledge of DCS systems, information/data management systems, relational databases and interfacing (especially OPC) is preferred;
  • AutoCad skills is a plus for Electrical & P&ID;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking (clearly) and writing so others will understand;
  • The ability to work in a cross-functional team environment;
  • The ability to tell if something is wrong or anticipate it is likely to go wrong;
  • The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events);
  • Possession of a valid driver's license that is in good standing.
