POSITION SUMMARY:

This is a unique opportunity to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment, while collaborating with clients in a variety of industries.

You will be working for a growing NYC-based Human Resources (HR) consulting company that provides HR services to organizations throughout the tri-state area, through a combination of off- and on-site support. As an HR Coordinator, you may be called upon to provide support and expertise in such diverse areas as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and compensation. There is no ?typical? day in this job!

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

HR Recordkeeping

  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, classifications, and employee leaves of absence.
  • Record data for each employee, including such information as addresses, weekly earnings, absences, supervisory reports on performance, and dates of and reasons for terminations.
  • Prepare and set up for new employee orientations.
  • Gather personnel records.
  • Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions.
  • Search employee files to obtain information for authorized persons and organizations, such as credit bureaus and finance companies.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.

Benefits Administration

  • Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.
  • Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.
  • Answer questions regarding eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.

Talent Acquisition & Assessments

  • Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants.
  • Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies.
  • Administer applicant and employee assessments.

 

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor?s Degree
  • Required Experience: 2 years administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment
  • Preferred Experience or Education:
    • Personnel and Human Resources ? Knowledge of principles and procedures for one or more of the following: personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, or personnel information systems.
