Enter, maintain and/or process employee and pay information in the payroll, time and HR systems
Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, etc.
Investigate and solve payroll issues or errors.
Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns
File and maintain employee files.
Ongoing balancing and audits of internal functions and records
Skills/Abilities and Education Requirements:
3 plus years of previous experience with primary role as payroll processing is required. Knowledge of payroll and tax related regulations. Prior human resources experience is preferred.
Uncompromising organization and attention to detail.
Math skills: ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions and percentages.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Experience in HRIS systems, time and attendance and payroll systems
Experience using Google software or MS office suite
Ability and willingness to sit at a computer for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as employee time records, payroll and accounting related reports and various government regulations. Ability to create/maintain routine reports and standard documentation.
Understanding of confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information
