Senior Manager -Marketing & Communications

for Embrace Families in Orlando, FL USA

POSITION OBJECTIVEExecute a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program designed to increase the impact of donor investment, enhance community awareness and support the recruitment and retention of foster homes. 



  • Create, maintain and update a variety of websites for Embrace Families.
  • Create, maintain and execute a variety of social media editorial calendars and posting schedules for Embrace Families.
  • Establish and monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Administer social media marketing promotion, engagement and conversion strategies that drive brand-awareness, on the following platforms: Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Community blog, etc.
  • Coordinate media contacts, messaging and spokesperson training to assist in the execution of media coverage focused on programs and initiatives of Embrace Families.
  • Serve as a ?general? spokesperson to the organization?s constituents, the media and the general public.
  • Support Development Team efforts through creation and execution of impactful event promotion strategies on variety of platforms.
  • Oversee development and execution of Foster Home recruitment and retention marketing strategies, including Facebook site, quarterly newsletter, monthly outreach, and recruitment events.
  • Identify, compose and publish stories for the company blog.
  • Compose and distribute e-newsletter to subscribers as scheduled.
  • Organize and facilitate ?Forever Family? broadcast segments.
  • Organize and facilitate photography, biographical data and social media needed to support the Heart Gallery Central Florida adoptions initiative.
  • Provide original content and support development of collateral, promotional items and other marketing materials.
  • Provide graphic design and production direction to create collateral, campaigns and videos in support of the marketing strategy.
  • Create and maintain an archive of youth/family stories and contacts approved for use in awareness building and grant writing efforts.
  • Communicate Embrace Families? impact and direction through speaking engagements, program specific tours with various audiences.
  • Assist in organization, planning and execution of special events.
  • Promote the mission, programs, and services provided through the family of companies by attending networking and company sponsored events. 
  • Participate in creation and annual reviews of Unit Policy and Procedure Manuals to ensure all policy and procedures reflect current state, federal and system of care requirements.
  • Participate in the agency strategic plan & quality improvement processes
  • Ability to safely & successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, & other federal, state, & local standards, including meeting qualitative & quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA & other federal, state, & local standards
  • Ability to comply with all personnel policies & procedures

      • Bachel or?s Degree from an accredited college or university
    • 5 years experience in the Marketing, Public Relations or related field
    • Any similar combination of education and experience
  • 8 years experience in the Marketing, Public Relations or related field
  • Experience working with a non-profit within the child welfare specialty.
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Public Relations





  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated applied skills in word processing, website maintenance and other computer software.
  • Excellent verbal and motivation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles
  • Effective understanding of latest social media technologies
  • Creativity, resourcefulness and innovative thoughts
  • Demonstrated experience and comfort with social media as a media relations tool

  • Ability to travel




  • Thorough Background Screening upon hire including FBI, FDLE, Local Law check, Employment Reference check, DMV check, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace & Drug Screening.  FDLE check will be run at least every 5 years.
  • On-call assignments- as needed
  • After hours activities as needed
  • Travel- local:  10% per week, long-distance: 5% per month

Starting Salary: $50,400.00 / Year (Negotiation Based on Experience)
