About this role:


We?re looking for a Training Specialist I, a teacher with the talent of transforming software training into language understood by many via multiple channels of learning. This candidate will be responsible for delivering course content to support the development, productivity, and retention of our customers, as well as assisting in maintaining instructional materials. Our ideal candidate will be self-driven, will take the initiative to see projects and assignments through to completion, and stay laser-focused on delighting PowerDMS customers with information on our products and services and other relevant subject areas of interest.


What you would do in this role:

  • Facilitate and deliver training programs in an engaging and charismatic manner, both remotely and in person.

  • Ensure that PowerDMS?s curriculum is delivered professionally and effectively to meet desired learning objectives.

  • Become a subject matter expert on all areas of PowerDMS to be able to effectively lead discussions and answer questions.

  • Document customer attendance for training sessions.

  • Instruct remote participants using a virtual platform such as Adobe Connect, WebEx or GoToMeeting/GoToTraining.

  • Track onboarding tasks against a schedule and coordinate with internal staff to ensure goals are met on a timely basis.

  • Direct clients to online training guides, job aids, and other resources.

  • Attend conferences to facilitate product training sessions.

  • Ensure learning content is current, high quality and engaging. 

  • Maintain 95% CSAT on Boot Camp and in-person training sessions

  • Work with the training team to answer all Communities questions in 2 days or less

What you need to know/have for this role:

  • BS degree in Education/Adult Education, English, Human Resources, Training, or a related field.

  • Extensive knowledge of learning principles

  • Proven ability to master the full training cycle

  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques

  • Excellent facilitation skills

  • Sound decision making and organizational skills

  • Ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences

  • Proficiency in MS Office

  • Multi-tasker extraordinaire

  • Plays well with others

  • Rolls easily with an ever-changing environment

  • Travel up to 50% of the time

  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus


Physical/Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach and manipulate objects. The position requires mobility. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis such as files, books, office equipment, etc., and may infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Manual dexterity and coordination are required while operating equipment such as a computer keyboard, calculator, and standard office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
